Heavy Diesel Mechanic — Perth Based (Field & Workshop)

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a new and growing operation in Perth. This is your chance to get in at the ground level and play a key role in establishing a new franchise from the beginning.

This is a permanent Perth-based role — not FIFO — working across both field service and workshop environments.

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a range of construction and earthmoving equipment including:

• Excavators
• Skid Steer Loaders
• Front End Loaders
• Graders
• Other mobile plant equipment

We’re looking for someone with strong diagnostic capability, who can work independently in the field and contribute to building a new workshop operation.

What We’re Looking For

• Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience
• Experience with construction or earthmoving equipment
• Ability to work both in the field and workshop
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Current driver’s licence (HR preferred but not essential)

• Parts Manager  (Agwest Machinery Geraldton)

We're looking for a results driven leader, to achieve great outcomes, and look on the department as if it's their own. You'll lead by example, driving parts sales, with an eye on customer retention, inventory turns and profitability. You'll grow parts sales and actively take part in dealership growth to both internal and external customers, while being a key member of dealership management.

Ideally you will have the following:

• Demonstrable experience in a role at a similar level,

• Knowledge & Understanding of Parts Dept Functions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Customer satisfaction and service, focused.

• Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft suite

• Business acumen, experience with budget achievement

• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in; a can do attitude

Previous exposure to Agricultural and Farming Machinery Parts in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position, those with a mechanical background and experience of any brand of machinery are encouraged to apply.

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalising on sales opportunities.

  • Accurately forecast revenue and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.

  • Proven track record in sales, with a strong ability to drive growth in a competitive market.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Agricultural experience is highly desirable, though not essential.
